Significant beliefs behind the celebration

All the festivals have some significant historical beliefs, myths, anecdotes associated with the religious festivals. Karwa Chauth makes us believe in the supreme natural powers of an invisible god. Sometimes bowing your head to old traditions gives you pleasure and a great sense of achievement and relief as we all know logic not always work. Having an upbringing in a Hindu culture draws our attention towards a mystery, a hope, a miracle to happen when we see science is not helping us out.

Is it necessary for a husband to be empty stomach?

And yes I do believe that my significant husband does not need to keep fast to accompany me or to show me that he loves me too if he doesn’t want. What a woman really wishes is to get pampered and feel loved from his sincere efforts and small gestures which don’t include he will have to remain empty stomach, after all looking after his health is her first priority.

Builds stronger bond with mother-in-law

Being a cultural country which lays great emphasis on joint family structure, all the relation other than of the spouse is important to us for our wellbeing and peace. Karwa Chauth gives all the married women a chance to honor their mother-in-law. I wholeheartedly want to thank my mother-in-law whose upbringing made him a better person. I do believe appraising someone from the core of the heart strengthen the bond between the two. Appreciation brings us closer, and special thanks to my lovely second mother.

Why wait for the moon?

There are two visible gods which we can see with our bare eyes, the sun and the moon. The karwa Chauth festival bestows us a chance to get abide by nature’s beauty. Today, running with the ticking of the clock, people don’t get spare time to observe and admire the bright moon, this day we can really take some time out to go aww with the presence of the moon which gives us a lesson that darkness can be beautiful.

So, the best wishes to all the married women (men as well) who are keeping fast or to the ones who are not keeping it due to any reason. May your husband be blessed with happiness, health, long life and peace by God’s grace. Do believe the ancient rituals and traditions as they have deep underlying meaning attached to them.
