Namaste, Namaskar, is the customary form of greeting in India. In Hindu culture, people greet each other by joining their palms and say “Namaste”. As the whole world knows that India is the most culturally diverse country in the world. Indians are known in the world for the 2nd populous country in the world, for cricket, Taj Mahal and for their nature of warm hospitality. They follow the Atithi Devo bhava phrase very seriously, which means that any guest or visitor is God’s own reflection.

As per traditional welcome, a guest is welcomed by folding the hands in front of the chest and the head bow while welcoming them. The gesture of welcoming the guest signifies a Sacred spark within each of us. The gesture is an acceptance of the soul in one by the soul in another.

Meaning Of Namaste

In the word namaste, nama means bow, as means I, and te stand for you. Hence, namaste literally means “bow me you” or ” I bow to you.” Saying of Namaste is the culture in India wherever you go people greet you with this heart warming word.This is an especially deep form of respect.
 The word Namaste also has an extreme spiritual importance as well. It identifies the belief that the life force, the divinity, the sacredness, the self, or the God in me and God in you is the same in all. It means by joining the palms we Indian acknowledge the oneness and equality in the person, we honor and respect the every person we meet as we consider God is everywhere he is in all of us.
