Marriage a relationship for life

The Real Purpose Of Marriage

Spread the love

You met someone, get along really well, can’t think of a single moment without him/her and decided to spend your entire life with that person. Marriage is not only about adorning the beautiful lehenga or a traditional sherwani in the wedding, enjoying birthdays or anniversaries, or having a cup of tea together in the morning or sharing dinner; It is much more than that. Do you know the real purpose of getting married? Do you know what marriage is? Read the article to know about what marriage really means? How overwhelming it feels to love someone? What are the positives of tying nuptials knots?

• Marriage means fully committing to your life partner. It’s more than a legal compact. It’s a binding promise assuring that you will stay faithful towards that person for the rest of your life.

• Marriage is the pinnacle point where you confess your love by promising to stay with that person forever. You promise to stay forever in love, you promise to understand your partner, you promise to support your partner and you promise to be there throughout the life.

• Marriage is the social institution that formalizes and structures the relationship between the participants in the bond, their respective families, any children that might ensue, and their society as a whole.

• Cultural declaration of a love-bond. Marriage serves to share that love with others and to announce that the two individuals are “off limits” to others. Our culture has developed marriage as a tradition, although it is an ever-changing tradition.

• Marriages happen in order to provide people with a comforting partner who’d be a companion for a lifetime, who is there with you all the time. Marriage is not just a legal documentation of love, it is a proclamation that you are ready to take responsibility of happiness, pain, joys, suffering of each other and start a family.

• It is a bonding between two individuals which respects each other’s space to the extent that a wife or a husband is allowed to enjoy his/her time and then when they come together, they are best respected for the WE time they desire to spend with each other.

• To have a friend with whom you don’t have to think twice before making weekend plans or crazy eat-outs. No consent required. You just call him in the office and say, “Honey, we are going Rafting this weekend. Love Ya. Bye!”.

• Marriage brings in such intimacy between two persons. marriage is not a must, people can live without it. It is only a choice, and people in India and all over the world accept it as the best choice.

• Marriage need not have a purpose because it’s a journey and not the destination! It’s all about managing this journey, sharing throughout the journey and having a bliss-like feeling to make it more worthy. Marry a person who accepts the differences, respects the presence and walks through all your known(maybe unknown too) flaws! Make it worthwhile in life rather than finding out the purpose!
