Bajuband or armlet is a traditional beautiful ornament worn by Indian brides and is an important part of Sixteen adornments or Solah Shringaar a woman wears known as Vanki in South India, it is also called as Ananta, Angada in other parts. Bajuband as the name signifies ‘Baju’ is called an arm and ‘band’ is tieing or covering. This traditional piece of jewellery is worn on arms by Indian gorgeous bride enhancing the entire look. It adds elegance and royalness when worn on traditional bridal attire, lehenga.

These Bajubands were adorned by kings and queens of the ancient period which signifies strength, ability virtues, richness and royalty. Bajubands were worn by both men and women in an upper part of the arm earlier but now it is an accessory of a woman now. Many actors and actresses can be seen wearing Bajuband in a special song sequence.
