Summer is the most loved season of the year for so many reasons. But it left us with so many marks in the form of a suntan. A day out in the sun makes your skin tone go down from fairer to dark. When on one hand its a fact no one can sit at home all day long to wait for the sunset, on the other hand going out in the sun do so many harms on your skin especially the feet.

Unlike winters, summer is not the season for boots, socks and stockings and hence it results in tanned feet. After flaunting our feet in strappy flats, tie-up gladiators, stylish flip-flops we’ve now left us with stubborn tan marks that refused to budge.

1) Tomato juice- Apply a tomato on the effective area. Cut a tomato into two halves. scrub your tanned feet with the juices quite vigorously. You can also add few drops of lemon for effective results as both tomato and lemon juice has acidic properties which help in skin lightening.

2) Paste of Turmeric, sandalwood and Bengal gram- Make a pack of turmeric, Bengal gram and sandalwood and blend them with little milk and apply it on the tanned areas. Keep it for almost 30 minutes and then rub it with water in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction. Wash it with cold water after that.

3) A mix of lemon juice, honey and milk- Take 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey and some milk. Mix them well and apply it on the tanned feet. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash off.

4) Yoghurt- Take some yoghurt and apply it on the affected area on every alternate day. Leave it for about 20 minutes to half an hour. Then wash it off with cold water and soak them and put some moisturiser for a better result.

5) Fuller’s earth powder and rose water pack- Nobody is unaware about the skin benefits of Fuller’s health. It is an essential skincare remedy which is good for treating acne, redness, blemishes and irritation. All of these are the very common symptoms of sun burn which leads to tanning. Hence, a mix of fuller’s earth with rosewater is an effective method to fight with all your problems.
